Troubleshooting: The Scans are coming out too light
Some customers you have noticed that if you are scanning slides or negatives with a very dark or black background the resulting scan will be too light. We have added a feature to the scanning window that will allow you to manually adjust the image darker or lighter and this should improve the exposure and quality of the resulting scan.
If you purchased your product with ArcSoft PhotoImpression included you will need to reinstall the appication BlazePhoto and a new driver that is available on our website in order to utilize this new feature.
If you have BlazePhoto installed but are still having trouble with the exposure settings then you will need to update the settings on your Blaze Photo Application
Please go to the following page for instructions and a link to the new installer and updates. The new installer includes versions for both 32 bit and 64 bit computer systems.
Please click here to access the page to download the new drivers
The new driver update does include 10 points of exposure compensation. In our testing this seems to solve “most” of the issues.
